Project Overview

D & T Mechanical was contracted to supply and install piped services for two new-build student accommodation towers (13 and 11 storeys), serving nearly 500 apartments in the city centre.
Key works included:
· New plantroom installation: boilers, pumps, CHP, buffer vessels, hot water heaters, water storage tanks and booster sets.
· Domestic services: full press-fit installation serving kitchens and podded bathrooms.
· Drainage systems: cast iron and solvent weld above-ground drainage and rainwater pipework.
The Challenge
This was a fast-moving build with a programme that constantly shifted to meet deadlines. The pace demanded a responsive mechanical partner able to flex resource and support early delivery targets.
